I'm Kasi C., the breeder behind KC’s Working Aussies located in Waukon, IA. My dogs are bred for their good health, conformation, and exceptional temperament. I expect all of my dogs to have great working abilities, intelligence, and be great family companions. My dogs live in the house with me and sleep in my bed, not outside in a kennel. I look forward to connecting with you!
Q. & A. with Kasi
Why did you start breeding?
As a kid, I was always not too fond of the idea of dogs being in animal shelters. With more knowledge throughout the years, I have learned that irresponsible breeders are the main reason for the shelter population. I decided to start breeding Australian Shepherds to better the breed, teach people about the breed, and not contribute to the shelter population by being a responsible breeder.
What makes your program special?
Here at KC’s Working Aussies, I do full panel genetic testing, OFA hip and elbow certification, and only breed healthy dogs. I currently only have one breeding dam, and she hardly leaves my side. She does not sleep outside in a kennel at night; she sleeps in my bed next to me. I treat my dogs as family, not just as a way to make money. I'm so excited to send you home with one of my loving puppies!
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
