I'm Ashley P., the breeder behind Ashley’s canine collective located in Riverside, CA. I have always strived to breed well structured, healthy dogs with great temperaments so my puppy families can bring home the best puppy to add to there family. I have been in the pet world for over 15 years, I have owned my own dog grooming and boarding business since 2012. Animals are my passion!

Why did you start breeding?
My mom got me into breeding when I was about 9 years old, we bred Pomeranian’s and huskies and they were so beautiful! Once I was about 20 years old and had a place of my own I decided to start small breedings and I was breading show champion smooth coat chihuahuas some of my puppies even became show ring winners! I was so proud! Then I moved onto bull terriers and now I am breeding dachshunds.What makes your program special?
My breeding program is special because my husband and kids all help me in caring for these sweet fur babies and we put all our hearts into it to make sure these babies are socialized, calm, loved and healthy pups. When our families take home our puppies that’s not the last they hear from us we provide doggy life long support to them and they can reach out to us for help at anytime.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

“They will come with limited AKC, their first vaccine, They will be fully dewormed and have their vet health certificate prior to leaving our home, and they will go home with their puppy care kit. This deposit is to ensure that you are a serious holder of the puppy you choose, this deposit will go towards the total price of your puppy of choice, once deposit is placed puppy is put on hold.”

Ponyo is a beautiful Isabella and tan AKC short haired miniature dachshund with eye colored eyes she has one blue eye and one green eye. Ponyo has a very sweet and loving personality and loves being around our kiddos and other dogs.

Sosuke is a full AKC registered chocolate and cream long-haired miniature dachshund. He has been fully health tested and cleared of all genetic health disorders. He is super sweet and calm natured and makes gorgeous healthy babies!

Ashley’s canine collective reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Dachshunds.
Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA), Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
