Our mission has always been to produce Shelties of exceptional temperament, sound health, and classic beauty—dogs that make wonderful family companions as well as outstanding show and performance prospects. Health and well-being are at the core of our breeding philosophy. All of our dogs are thoroughly health tested, including screening for genetic conditions common in the breed. We stand behind every puppy we raise with a comprehensive health guarantee, giving our families peace of mind and lifelong support. Getting a puppy from Amy

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel, von Willebrand Disease III (vWD III), Dermatomyositis, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
