I'm Kendra K., the breeder behind Kendaline Kennels located in Descanso, CA. We are a small in home breeder of quality miniature dachshunds and Pembroke Welsh corgis. We only have 1-2 litters per year. We focus on preparing our puppies for their new homes and making the transition enjoyable for everyone! We also keep all our dogs even after they retire from breeding- they are family!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have always been obsessed with animals. I always wanted my parents to breed as a child & they refused. I got into horses & we ended up breeding 2x. I instantly loved raising babies! Once I became an adult & out on my own I got my 1st corgi & wanted to breed. I knew I needed to breed “better” so I went to dogs shows & did lots of research to find a stud. That was just the beginning.

  • What makes your program special?

    I am a very honest & open. I love every 1 of my dogs & puppies. My adults stay with me for life. I love to learn & talk with other breeders to better my program. I’m always open to learn more about anything I can when it comes to my breeds & breeding. I treat every puppy as if they are my own dog. Once they are old enough the litter becomes part of our pack & we teach them whatever we can.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our Dachshund puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Dachshund puppies include piebald, cream, red, black and tan, and dapple. Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies include fawn, red, sable, white and red, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Kendra

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Wisdom Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
