His accomplishments represent recognition at the breed, specialty, and all-breed levels, sustained success under a broad panel of judges, and—perhaps most importantly for a breeding program—the ability to reproduce quality in his offspring. 🏆 DACHSHUND CLUB OF AMERICA — TOP 10 Ace achieved a number 10 ranking with the Dachshund Club of America. This is particularly meaningful because the Dachshund Club of America is the AKC parent club for the Dachshund in the United States. Recognition within the Top 10 places Ace among nationally recognized dogs within his own breed. For us, this carries tremendous weight. All-breed success is important, but recognition within the Dachshund community demonstrates how Ace compares within the breed he represents. 🏅 AWARD OF MERIT — AOM Ace is also an Award of Merit recipient. An AOM is not simply another placement. At specialty-level competition, Awards of Merit recognize exceptional dogs from the Best of Breed/Variety competition beyond the principal winners. It represents recognition among an already highly competitive field of accomplished Dachshunds and is an important part of Ace's specialty résumé. 🏆 AKC BRONZE GRAND CHAMPION — 100 GCH POINTS Ace earned his GCHB by accumulating 100 Grand Championship points. An AKC Grand Championship begins at 25 points. Reaching the Bronze level requires 100 GCH points, meaning Ace continued competing—and winning—long after earning both his Championship and Grand Championship. He didn't simply finish a title and retire. He continued proving himself. ⭐ 20 GRAND CHAMPION MAJORS Ace accumulated an impressive 20 Grand Champion major wins on his road to Bronze. Majors represent wins where sufficient competition is present to award the higher point values. Twenty of them demonstrate that Ace repeatedly earned significant wins against meaningful competition. 👩‍⚖️ 20 MAJORS — 19 DIFFERENT MAJOR JUDGES This may be one of the most telling statistics on Ace's entire résumé. Twenty GCH majors. Nineteen different major judges. Conformation is ultimately the evaluation of a dog by individual judges. Consistent success under such a broad panel is significant because Ace's career wasn't built on repeatedly winning under the same handful of people. Judge after judge found quality in him. 🏅 DEFEATED CHAMPIONS AT 24 EVENTS Ace defeated other Champions at 24 separate events during his Grand Championship campaign. That's an important distinction. Grand Championship competition isn't against dogs still trying to finish their Championship—it involves competing against dogs that have already proven themselves sufficiently to become AKC Champions. Ace repeatedly prevailed in that company. 🏆 HOUND GROUP 2 Edwardsville Illinois Kennel Club — December 8, 2024 Ace's success wasn't confined to the Dachshund ring. After winning his breed/variety, he advanced to the Hound Group and was awarded Hound Group 2. At the Group level, Ace was no longer being compared only with other Dachshunds. He was evaluated alongside the winning representatives of the other Hound breeds and selected as the second-place Hound in the Group. That's a substantial all-breed accomplishment. 🏆 HOUND GROUP 4 San Jacinto Kennel Club — February 23, 2025 Ace later added another Group placement to his résumé with a Hound Group 4. Multiple Hound Group placements are especially meaningful because they show that his Group 2 wasn't an isolated success. Ace demonstrated the ability to stand out both as a Dachshund and as a Hound. 🥇 AKC CHAMPION — THREE MAJORS Before Ace became a Bronze Grand Champion, he first had to earn his AKC Championship. He completed that title with: 15 Championship points 3 major wins 3 different major judges An AKC Championship requires two majors under different judges. Ace earned three. That early record foreshadowed the consistency he would later demonstrate throughout his Grand Championship career. 🐾 PUPPY OF ACHIEVEMENT — 8 POINTS Ace's show career began successfully as a youngster, earning 8 Puppy of Achievement points.
