I'm Alethea and Aleesa E., the breeder behind Kesher Border Collies located in Joplin, MO. Having a dog in our lives is such a blessing. We find so much fulfillment in providing that same companionship to other homes! We commit ourselves to preparing each one of our puppies to thrive in their new homes, and we enjoy working with their new families so that they can raise their beloved companions with confidence! We often show our dogs in conformation, companion, and performance AKC events. We do a large variety of competitions. Including, coursing, fast CAT, agility, herding, dock diving, conformation, trick dog, obedience, rally, and more! All of our dogs excel in each of these sports and love doing them! All in all, we strive to produce intelligence, high drive, good genetics, happy, and healthy puppies ready for anything their life has in store for them!
Q. & A. with Alethea and Aleesa
Why did you start breeding?
Originally we never planned on breeding, we looked for a pup that I could use in competitions a while back, but after a while we realized how amazing that girl was! She had amazing lines, good genetic health, extreme drive, acrobatic skills, and extreme intelligence. We decided to start raising some pups because we don’t want to lose the lines we have. As they are some of the best we have seen!
What makes your program special?
Our name Kesher means connection or bond. Which is exactly what we pride our selves on, the bonds that we create with each other, our dogs, and the people that get our dogs. We strive to produce quality puppies that become amazing dogs that not only become someone’s life, but improve the breed.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and rough coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include tri-color, lilac merle, slate merle, blue merle, red merle, black, blue, lilac, red, sable, white ticked, and slate. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
