I'm Marie A., the breeder behind KevMar Labradors located in Texarkana, AR. We are a hobby breeder of quality Labrador Retrievers. We believe temperament and Health are the most important qualities. We strive for beautiful, conformation correct dogs that have the "Labrador" temperament . Whether its a family companion , hunting companion or service animal. The trainability and people orientation is the hallmark of the breed.

    My main goal in breeding is to continue to produce my show prospects and performance prospects. I look to find exceptional homes for those that will not be staying in our program.
  • What makes your program special?

    We strive to produce Labradors that are pleasing to look at, healthy, sound with exceptional temperaments.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Marie

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test, OFA/CHIC DNA Repository, Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis (HNPK), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
