Why did you start breeding?
I fell head-over-heels in love with my first mini aussie and after getting SO many compliments on her esthetic and disposition I knew I needed to perpetuate them. I got her mate Benji when she came of age and they did the rest of the work!What makes your program special?

About Benji
Benjiman (Benji) is my male Minature Australian Shepard who will be a year old in August. Benji is a Red Merle with floppy ears, a full tail and his due claws. He weighs 13.7 lbs right now, standing at about 14 inches tall (to the top of his back) and about 24 inches long (tip of his nose to tip of his tail ). Benji is my absolute lover boy. He is the sweetest little thing and wants nothing but to be loved. He is calm and relaxed and loves to be in my lap getting (and giving) all the kisses and snuggles he can. Benji is getting more brave when it comes to meeting new people but tends to be on the shy side at first. Once he gets to know you, he is very affectionate and playful (and even a little mischievous) Interestingly, he does not have the same hesitations with other animals, and he gets along very well with other dogs and my backyard chickens. Benji loves walks and adventures (on and off leash trained), especially car and boat rides (knows to"go in the car" and "get on the boat") - he will go with you everywhere if you let him!

About Ziggy
Izabella (Ziggy) Skye is a boisterous 2.5 year old female Minature Australian Shepard who is currently carrying her first litter of puppies. She is super intelligent and very loving so we know she is going to make a great mommy! Ziggy is a black white and brown TRI with crystal blue eyes, pointed ears and a docked tail. She was about 13-14 pounds before conception, stands at about 13 inches tall (to the top of her back) and about 15 inches long (nose to nub). Izabella has an exuberant personality and has the presence of a full sized dog, dispite her small stature. She loves walks (on and off leash trained), playing fetch, hunting all the bugs (will "get the bug" on command), and chasing rabbits/frogs/anything that moves. Ziggy will go with you everywhere if you let her, and will take all the car and boat rides she can get (knows to "go in the car", "get on the boat" and, "go swim"). She LOVES people especially children and gets along great with other dogs (lays down in submission for larger or more rambunctious friends). Izabella is true to her breed in that she herds my backyard chickens, and even retrieves their eggs for me! I do hope some of these wonderful attributes will transcribe to some of her young !

Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
