Kingdom House

Faith Q.

Breeder of Akita and Flat-Coated Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Faith Q., the breeder behind Kingdom House located in Virginia Beach, VA. My husband and I have been owned by Akitas since 1992 and have never looked back. This is a very beautiful and noble breed but is not for everyone. Please do your research before buying. We are always more than happy to discuss the Akita breed with those that have been blessed to have been owned by an Akita or are just simply curious.

Q. & A. with Faith

  • Why did you start breeding?

After we found the add and purchased our first Akita. The breeder started letting me tag along to shows with her to learn the ins and outs of the show and breeding world. From there I found a couple of mentors that helped me along the way.
  • What makes your program special?

To me, it’s the hands-on attention we give our puppies before they go to their new homes. Our pups are socialized starting at birth with people, other dogs, and cats. Besides the parents having all of their health clearances, we try to expose them to as much as possible to give them the healthiest start mentally that we can before they leave on their next adventure.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
