I'm Jane K., the breeder behind King's Dachshunds located in Salisbury, NC. Having a dog in our lives is such a blessing. We find so much fulfillment in providing that same companionship to other homes! The foundation of our breeding program starts with raising healthy and well-loved dogs. We aim to pass the same happiness of owning a quality-bred dog to our buyers.

Why did you start breeding?
I have three, that I started with. Ginny, Ginger, and I purchased Gunner for breeding. I waited until the girls were 2 yr. old before breeding them. Gunner the dad was 9 months old when he hooked up with Ginny. Ginny had her first litter on May 4. Three boys and one girl. My first litter is due to re-home on July 4, 2026. Ginger, my black/tan is due on July 15th.What makes your program special?
I don't run a puppy mill. I breed them in my home with love and care as if they are going to stay forever. I don't have them in a locked pen. They have a entire room to roam and play, they go outside when needed. They have a loft where they can look out at the neighborhood to see whats going on. They are family.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Getting a puppy from Jane
Jane has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jane partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“The owner can come and view the pups in real time if they are close to this area. They can pick out which pup they want at that time. They can pick and say online which one they want and pay deposit. I will tell the buyers about my homing trends I found useful in carrying for dachshunds. They always need a companion so they are not alone when you go to work. Buy one or buy 2. ”
Price
“The price includes first round of vaccinations, de-worming, and socializing. Girls are more because they are easier to train. Boy or girl with long hair cream, (rare) is more.”

About Ginger
I purchased Ginger off here on Gooddog about 3 years ago from Meadows Farm Dachshunds. I met her in Greensboro to pick Ginger up. Ginger is registered on AKC Kennel Club with her sire and dam. What I know about Ginger is she has short legs as a mini but a standard body. Had to be a mixed between standard and mini. She is much heavier than my other two dachshunds but her legs are so much shorter than the other two. I love Ginger. She is the friendliest, and sweetest dog I ever owned. She just wants attention when you come in. Then she goes and lays down and does not cause any problems. Train her really well. Always when she is inside, she uses the pad.

About Gunner
I purchased Gunner to mate with my two girls. He has done his duty. Ginny had pups on May 3, 2026. My other dachshund, Ginger is due July 15th, 2026. Gunner is a loving male dog. He is a mama's boy. Gunner follows me around and has to be on my lap when I am resting. I love that his coat is smooth and white and tan. Makes an easy sight for things attached from outside. Cream/white/tan is easy to cut the toe nails as you can see the quick easier.

About Ginny
Ginny is the best dog. She is so smart. If I tell her to go in the kitchen, she knows where the kitchen is. She loves, loves, loves to play ball. Anyone that comes to visit has to play ball with her. It sometimes can be non-stop. I love an active girl. She loves to sit up beside me in the chair and fall asleep with her head on my shoulder. She's the best dog I have ever had. So smart.

Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
