Meet the breeder

I'm Sheyla K., the breeder behind Knight's Aussies located in Ceres, CA. We focus on the proper development of all our puppies because we know that each one is unique and deserving of undivided love and attention. Each puppy is raised, and loved indoors to ensure health, happiness, and harmony at the start of its life. With our pups, beauty is a given, but producing healthy, loving, and versatile dogs is our true goal.

Q. & A. with Sheyla

  • Why did you start breeding?

I discovered my passion for breeding dogs through my journey as a Veterinary Technician. Working closely with animals, I developed a deep appreciation for their well-being and genetic health. My journey began with Yorkshire Terriers in 2018, but it was a serendipitous encounter with an Australian Shepherd puppy that changed everything. Training and showing this intelligent and athletic breed captured my heart. Since then, I've dedicated myself to breeding Australian Shepherds, drawing from my veterinary knowledge to ensure the health and well-being of each puppy.
  • What makes your program special?

What sets my breeding program apart is the combination of my veterinary background and my genuine love for animals. With access to fast veterinary care and a comprehensive understanding of responsible breeding practices, I prioritize the health and welfare of every dog in my program. Moreover, my Australian Shepherds aren't just breeding dogs; they're cherished members of my family. They accompany me everywhere, from adventurous hikes to serene camping trips, even embracing our newest additions to the family, a flock of chickens. Their adaptability and gentle nature make them the perfect companions for any environment.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
