I'm Bridget P., the breeder behind Knox Ridge Dachshunds located in Lyles, TN. I am new to selling on Good Dog but not a new breeder. Our family has been raising dachshunds for over 35 years. I have personally been raising for 15 years. Most of our dachshunds are between 10-15 lbs. We raise dachshunds to have good temperament and conformation.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My grandmother started raising dachshunds before I was born so I have been around the breeding world my whole life. She raised a few different breeds through the years but I really always had a special bond with the dachshunds.

  • What makes your program special?

    I would say the experience that I have with the breed and my ability to care full-time for my dogs. I enjoy raising puppies and I love getting to watch them thrive in their new homes. We also work with our local rescues vs against them to show that breeding can be done responsibly. We help the community making low cost spay and neuter available to families that need to prevent unwanted litters.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include fawn (isabella) and tan, chocolate and tan, blue and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Bridget

Bridget has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Bridget partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Puppies will not be listed until they are at least 2 weeks old to ensure health of the puppy. I do my best to pair applicants with a puppy that will match the personality that would work best for their home. I assume applicants have thought in depth about bringing a puppy into their home and the work that it takes to successfully train them. ”

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $1,250 - $2,950 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Bridget of Knox Ridge was a pleasure to work with and always kept me up to date. She was very knowledgeable and answered any questions I had throughout the process. When it came time to pickup my puppy, she even met me halfway to make it easier. Physically and personality wise, Murphy is a perfect example of the dachshund breed I love so much. He has been a joy to train thanks to his inherent smarts and great temperament. He is so sweet and playful; Bridget did a wonderful job socializing him.
