I'm Kristal E., the breeder behind Kristal's Aussies located in Helotes, TX. We’re proud of the healthy, affectionate, and behaviorally well-rounded puppies we raise for other families to love! While our goal is to share loving puppies with families, we are still a selective program. We only breed when we’re sure we can produce the healthiest and best example of the breed possible.

Why did you start breeding?
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Where do your breeding dogs live?

These dogs are already reserved or have gone home.

About Sassy
Sassy is the best dog! She is so smart and has learned many commands almost instantly. As a 5 mo old pup, she showed us signs of possibly being a service dog when my mom was choking. She exhibited signs again a few months later so that is what we are working on again now that pups are bigger. She loves being outdoors, playing ball and frisbee but also loves training. She is a barrel of energy and a barrel of laughs every day. Best decision I ever made was getting her!
Good health testing
Excellent level
Kristal's Aussies reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Miniature Australian Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Kristal was great to work with! Caring for her own pups to make sure their going to a good, caring, fun and full of love home we’ve gotten one of her pups and his been a great friend to his cousin Oakley our other Aussie and they just go at it once they see each other even if their 2 years apart. So yes Cooper has been a great add on to the family without a doubt.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
