I'm Lisa W., the breeder behind L Bar W Aussie Ranch located in Midway, TX. We are huge animal lovers and have a special place in our hearts for our dogs. We want to provide top-quality beloved companions and show quality dogs for families and breeders. Our puppies are raised with a puppy curriculum so they will be happy, confident, and thrive with their new families.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have a friend who is a breeder and I watched and learned from her while starting my business after retirement. Raising Aussie’s was an easy choice for me because I have had them and loved the breed my whole life.

  • What makes your program special?

    My program is special because I have hand picked beautiful, well bred dogs to start my program. These dogs are super smart, built correctly, and bred to have amazing offspring. My operation is small enough that each dog gets special attention from me each day.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include black & white, red & white, blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Australian Shepherd puppies include red & white, black & white, red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Lisa

Lisa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $320 deposit and between $480 - $2,180 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes necessary shots, worming, flea treatments, socializing, puppy starter kit with food, treats, litter scent bedding, toy, registration paperwork and welcome letter and puppy prep letter. Breeding rights are $500. A $320 deposit holds the puppy of your choice until 8 weeks when payment in full is due. Deposits or partial deposits may be refunded on a case by case basis if puppy given up is sold to another buyer by 8 weeks or so.”

Contract & health guarantee

Lisa may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Lisa was a pleasure to work with. She was very repsosive and so patient with us as we asked question after question about her program and Stella, now Kali, the dog we were adding to our family. She was available for phone calls and FaceTimes whenever we had a question. Due to us living out of state we had to send our new puppy via AirCargo on American Airlines and Lisa coordinated this all for us making sure the puppy was sent as quickly, efficiently and saftley as possible. Even with a few set backs due to our schedule, as well as hot weather issues, Lisa was able to move the flights around to make things as smooth as possible. When we recieved Kali she came healthy and happy. When Lisa said she socializes her puppies, she is being modest. Kali was very happy to meet our other dog, a 9 year old German Shepard/Husky mix. Kali was already trianed on using a doggy door, and very quick took to be potty trained, I have a feeling Lisa's set up at her home helped contribute to this. We are very happy with Kali and couldt have had a better experience with working with Lisa. I would recomment Lisa to anyone looking to add an Astralian Shepard to their family.
