Meet the breeder

I'm Stephanie M., the breeder behind La Muerte Corso Kennel located in Granbury, TX. Our goal is to produce the best working/coursing Cane Corso and keep traditional temperament and original standards pure. We only breed our female's once a year. We always breed ethically with the best interest of the puppies and parents in mind. We breed for “unmatchable protection”.

Q. & A. with Stephanie

  • Why did you start breeding?

To help continue the hard work of keeping the Cane Corso Traditional and pure according to the S.A.C.C.I. We breed for temperament, health, and the real working mindset of the only athletic mastiff (Cane corso). We are a veteran family that wants to provide protection to all families and have that safety net and security you deserve.
  • What makes your program special?

We breed for functionality, health, agility, temperament, and protection above all else. We specifically chose our breeding pairs to balance out their temperaments, adding great agility, and provide a balanced protective corso. We have breeding since 2017 and are well established with our breeding practices.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, black brindle, fawn, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

I can’t say enough good things about Stephanie. From the very beginning, she was kind, supportive, and truly one of the most caring breeders I’ve ever met. Even before I picked up my puppy from her, she went above and beyond to help me navigate a heartbreaking situation with another puppy I had purchased from a different breeder who turned out to be sick. Stephanie didn’t have to help—but she did, with so much compassion, knowledge, and patience. Throughout that tough time, she was always there to answer questions, offer guidance, and simply be a comforting presence. She genuinely cares about her puppies and the people they go to. The connection we formed through this process turned into something really special, and I’m so grateful for that.🖤❤️ When the time finally came to bring my new puppy home from her, I was over the moon—and let me just say, this little one is the absolute sweetest. Healthy, happy, and so full of love. You can tell my baby boy Klaus was raised with care. Stephanie, thank you for everything. Not just for the perfect puppy, but for being a real friend through it all. This experience has meant the world to me, and I’m so grateful to now know an amazing soul like you!

Stephanie was the best breeder to go through! She was always open to answer any questions we had and was there for us the entire process from getting the puppy and anything after. Our puppy is healthy, happy and full of love. He’s been taken care of every step and we were always given updates. The weekly lives were so fun for us to find our puppy and see how he was growing before getting him. It’s been the best experience and we love our newest member of the family!
