Meet the breeder

I'm Alexia V., the breeder behind LaBeouf Havanese’s located in Decatur, AL. Our puppies are a part of our family and are raised in a loving and hands-on environment. They receive daily enrichment, early socialization, and lots of affection. Our breeding program prioritizes the health, well-being, and proper development of our puppies.

Q. & A. with Alexia

  • Why did you start breeding?

I first became involved in the world of breeding six years ago, learning the foundational elements while assisting my grandmother with her operations. It was there that I discovered and fell in love with the Havanese breed. Inspired to launch my own business, I carefully selected my dogs. I purchased a female from my grandmother's reputable lines and a male from a trusted breeding friend.
  • What makes your program special?

My program is centered on health, temperament, and ethical standards. Becoming a dog groomer has given me a unique perspective that ensures every puppy is raised with early neurological stimulation (ENS) and exceptional socialization, preparing them to be confident, well-adjusted family members. We breed for quality, not quantity, prioritizing the longevity and happiness of the Havanese.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and white, white, cream, chocolate, black, and chocolate sable. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
