I'm Kirk & Sally G., the breeder behind Labs of Cottonhollow located in Rigby, ID. Our goal is to produce healthy, well-rounded Labrador Retrievers that excel as companions both in the field and in the home. We decided to start a responsible, in-home breeding program in order to produce quality hunting dogs that also fit into a home setting. We focus on breeding dogs that have the drive to keep up with our lifestyle, but also have amazing temperaments and can quickly adapt to a calm family setting. We specialize in early socialization of our puppies and have learned that it makes all the difference. The pups we have kept and trained were so much easier than those we purchased elsewhere and we attribute that to all the time and interaction we have with our puppies from day one until they leave our home.
Q. & A. with Kirk & Sally
What makes your program special?
I think the thing that makes us different from other breeders is the amount of time we spend with the pups from day one until they leave for their new homes. Once you put a deposit down on a pup, you receive emails and texts with pictures regularly so you can watch the progress of the litter. We also invite many people over to love on these pups so they get to interact with a multitude of people.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Kirk and Sally were a godsend after dealing with scam after scam! On our visit we could tell they cared for their female dogs and pups so much, they weren’t just breeders. Sally answered all our questions and was very forthcoming with any and all information on the pups and parents. Sally had so many insightful suggestions for puppy care afterwards from her 25 years of knowledge and experience. They continued to check in and make sure we were doing great with our new puppy. They made us feel so welcomed and never rushed us. If we get another one in the future we will be going back here! My friends and family will be heading to Labs of Cottonhollow in the near future.
