I'm Kirk & Sally G., the breeder behind Labs of Cottonhollow located in Rigby, ID. Our goal is to produce healthy, well-rounded Labrador Retrievers that excel as companions both in the field and in the home. We decided to start a responsible, in-home breeding program in order to produce quality hunting dogs that also fit into a home setting. We focus on breeding dogs that have the drive to keep up with our lifestyle, but also have amazing temperaments and can quickly adapt to a calm family setting. We specialize in early socialization of our puppies and have learned that it makes all the difference. The pups we have kept and trained were so much easier than those we purchased elsewhere and we attribute that to all the time and interaction we have with our puppies from day one until they leave our home.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

"Most of our pups come with full AKC registration, a 26 month health guarantee, up to date on vaccinations, vet checked and super well socialized. We do ENS on days 3-16. Our deposits are transferrable to another breeding if you need to back out of the litter you originally agreed on. Must get a pup within 12 months or you would lose your deposit."

Labrador Retriever
About Charlie
Black Ice's Charlie of Cottonhollow is our young chocolate gal. She was born on July 20, 2023. She comes from an outstanding breeding program down in Texas and is coming along nicely in her training. She has two of four Junior Hunter ribbons and we plan to finish out that Junior Hunter title Spring 2026. Charlie passed all of her health clearances. She got a GOOD on her hips and normal on elbows through OFA and is certified free of genetic eye disease. Charlie is very good with the grandkids and neighbors. She is extremely smart and has a mind of her own but loves to please. She got to go on a few hunting outings with Kirk last winter and did well. A smaller lab at only 58 lbs. Smaller but mighty.
Labrador Retriever
About Kona
Kona is a dream dog. She is so smart, attentive and loves to please. She has a hunt title and is also great with the kids and grandkids. Wonderful momma dog. She has been easy to train and loves to hunt, play, train and be our companion in the evening in front of the fireplace while we watch tv. If you are lucky enough to get one of her puppies you will truly be blessed. Has all of her health clearances including an Excellent on hips and normal on elbows and eyes have cleared the testing for genetic issues.

Kirk and Sally were a godsend after dealing with scam after scam! On our visit we could tell they cared for their female dogs and pups so much, they weren’t just breeders. Sally answered all our questions and was very forthcoming with any and all information on the pups and parents. Sally had so many insightful suggestions for puppy care afterwards from her 25 years of knowledge and experience. They continued to check in and make sure we were doing great with our new puppy. They made us feel so welcomed and never rushed us. If we get another one in the future we will be going back here! My friends and family will be heading to Labs of Cottonhollow in the near future.
