I'm Ginny F., the breeder behind Lake Country Dachshunds located in Wisconsin. Whether you are looking for a companion, show or performance dog, our Miniature Dachshunds will not disappoint you! All litters are born in my home, & I personally attend each delivery to ensure their health. All puppies are handled extensively from birth, & socialized. deliver anywhere in the USA.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    It wasn’t an easy decision, but one I’m so glad made. Breeding and showing isn’t always easy, but SO rewarding. I want to help preserve & improve the dachshund breed, which requires research, understanding genetics, working with neonatal vets & other breeders, dedication and lots of time and money. I want to provide a healthy, happy and beautiful dachshund for each family!

  • What makes your program special?

    I’m very dedicated to properly raising and producing healthy & well bred pups which is a big commitment. We love to stay connected to our puppy families throughout their pups lifetimes to ensure they never feel alone and can raise their new, furry companion with confidence and joy. One of the most rewarding things is staying in touch with the families and getting updates/pictures. video chat too

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, chocolate and cream, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Ginny

Ginny has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price

Puppy prices include a $800 non-refundable deposit and between $1,400 - $2,900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes vaccines, deworming, and extensive puppy socialization and initial potty training along with being loved. We also include a personal puppy welcome home bag. Deposit is based on price of pup which can vary due to Full AKC or limited AKC rights.”

Contract & health guarantee

Ginny may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
