I'm Nyla H., the breeder behind Lake Ridge Border Collies located in Gary, IN. We breed for the drive, structure, temperament, personality, and the ability to overcome obstacles. We raise our dogs and puppies in our home using Early Neurological Stimulation, and Early Scent Introduction. We expose our pups to lots of everyday experiences to better equipped our pups to thrive.

I was raised on a farm with working Border Collies and grew a strong passion for them and their working capabilities. That love and admiration for the breed inspired me to start my program.What makes your program special?
We focus on working capabilities, drive, structure, temperament, health, and purpose. We try to give our puppies the very best we can offer. We look forward to connecting you with your Border Collie pup!What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue merle, red merle, black, blue, gold, lilac, red, sable, and slate. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
Getting a puppy from Nyla
Nyla has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Nyla partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“The price listed on pups pages are for limited registration. If interested in breeding either it be wanting to buy breeding rights up front or down the road, please ask me and we can discuss it! Deposits are non-refundable. The deposit secures your spot on our waiting list, and secures your pup. Once a deposit is placed on a pup, it is no longer transferable.”

Gold/White Easy going, playful, gentle but fierce, started on livestock, great recall, overall good boy! Tenno has a medium drive. Always willing to work but understands when work is done it time to calm down. He is best friends with my youngest son. They do everything together. Tenno has a high toy drive and is locked onto any toy you play with him. He strives to please and enjoys lots of tummy rubs!

This has been the best interaction with a breeder I’ve ever had. After loosing our last border collie, we wanted to get another puppy and wanted to make sure we had a reliable breeder to talk to.
