I'm Barbara L., the breeder behind Lashunds Miniature Dachshunds located in Winton, CA. We raise our litters in our home to help set the foundation for happy and confident puppies to transition well into their forever homes. It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to make an impact on each individual puppy! Pricing is for pet/companion puppies with limited AKC, not for show/breeding.
Q. & A. with Barbara
Why did you start breeding?
I wanted to show my own dogs and get a good show line going. I bought a very nice show male, and went from there.
I have achieved multiple generations of Champions.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are part of the family. They go where we go. I adhere to the standards of AKC. We do health testing, and breed for our next show dog and to better the line. The quality puppies not kept for show go to fantastic family pet/companion homes, not for show/breeding.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
