I'm Rebeccah B., the breeder behind Laurelee Collies located in Oregon City, OR. Our breeding program focuses on health, temperament, athleticism and longevity. We combine that with beauty and various social interactions that make a fabulous dog you can take with you on adventures.

Why did you start breeding?
Raising animals is often part of farming. I do believe that if you are going to add to any animal population it should be done with intention and careful planning. This limits our quantity but quality is our focus.What makes your program special?
We focus on health testing and breed preservation of the collie. All our puppies are raised with children, laughter, chickens and goats. We have a good focus on early neurological development, in hopes of making a lifetime of easy moments ahead.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and rough coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable and white and black white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

About Deganna
Deganna is a hard working gal who loves being out on the farm. She keeps close tabs on the horses, goats and chickens of the farm. She has a favorite past time being the farm protector and has actively alerted inside our home to predators attacking the coop. On weekends she changes the focus and cleans up nicely to be a show dog. Being owner handled she has found her way to multiple Best of varieties and Best Opposite wins. Currently waiting for her final major to complete her championship

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Dermatomyositis, PRA, Rod-Cone Dysplasia 2 (rcd2), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
