I'm Jessica D., the breeder behind Lazy Dayz Ranch located in Winnabow, NC. Our dogs are bred with health and temperament as the main focus. Each puppy will be highly socialized which we find helps transition them into their new homes. Every puppy is health checked, vaccinated, wormed and will go home with a puppy package.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have had a lifelong love for Australian Shepherds, which naturally inspired me to pursue responsible breeding. My goal is to preserve their exceptional temperament, intelligence, and versatility while giving other families the opportunity to experience the same joy and companionship these remarkable dogs bring into my life every day.

  • What makes your program special?

    We produce limited litters, each raised in our home and loved by our family. My breeding program is dedicated to producing exceptional Australian Shepherds with sound temperaments and strong overall health. Each puppy receives consistent care, socialization, and early training to ensure they are confident, adaptable companions ready for family life and adventure.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black & white, red & white, red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Jessica

Jessica has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jessica partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Each puppy is accessed daily from the day they are born until they go to there new homes. I will provide feedback on each puppy to make sure the puppy is a great fit. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $400 non-refundable deposit and between $600 - $1,600 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes the one year healthy puppy guarantee, AKC papers, first shots, deworming and a vet visit. Your puppy will go home with a puppy package to ensure a great start! All puppies require a deposit to hold until they are ready for pick-up.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
