I'm Scott C., the breeder behind Leash Candy Frenchies located in Vancouver, WA. We care greatly about the breed! We health test the parents, and always look to make our next generation better.
Q. & A. with Scott
Why did you start breeding?
My first dog was an English Bulldog, and I absolutely loved him. Years later, I was told about Frenchies, a smaller and healthier dog very similar to the English. I found a beautiful brindle and surprised my family with her and we fell in love. After failing to find a second one that looked right and was healthy, I decided to start breeding; got passionate with health testing, and here we are.
What makes your program special?
Honestly, truly understanding what makes a correct Frenchie. Health testing is a big deal, and seems to be trending, but knowing what a French Bulldog truly looks like, acts like, and is, is so important, and the reaction from families when they get one of our babies refelcts that. What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brindle and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
