I'm Samantha G., the breeder behind Legacy K9’s located in Marion, OH. Each of our dogs has brought so much happiness to us throughout their lives. We want to do our part to produce wonderful, healthy, stable minded dogs that can bring other people joy as well, and we pride ourselves in producing dogs that are versatile in any setting. We produce mostly working line.

Why did you start breeding?
Aside from us absolutely loving the breed, one of the reasons for getting in to breeding was to provide healthy and stable puppies to others. We absolutely love working line dogs. Its a goal of ours to breed, train and show in working based sports . Being able to offer that to others as well is truly heart worming to us.What makes your program special?
We are extremely understanding people. we treat everyone with the same amount of respect. We allow people to come to our home to see the parents , puppies and how they are being raised. We also are an "open book" we don't hide anything. good or bad we are verry upfront and honest about everything. as we would want others to be upfront and honest with us.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include stock and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, black, panda, isabella, gray, black and tan, black and silver, black and red, black and cream, bi-color, blue, liver, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

“Our puppies are AKC or UKC registered. we send home a puppy go home bag, health guarantee, copies if parents health testing, copy of Sales contract and all vet records. All deposits are non-refundable . If any unforeseen circumstances happen on OUR end then we do refund the deposit and any money paid.”

Aska is a sweet, loving girl. She is a Isabella Sable . Aska loves to go to the agility course and loves to go practice her doc diving . Aska has a decent drive and extremely smart. She is one of the most sweet tempered dogs I’ve enter encountered. She is AKC registered, DNA tested and OFA tested . Aska is very good with children and people . She loves being her silly self and playing with her toys or practicing her landscaping skills in the backyard .

Jasper is a full West German Show Line . He is more higher drive than some show lines. Jasper enjoys anything that evolves his toys. He is very eager to do any kind of work as long as his toys are the reword. He is very sweet natured and VERY gentle with kids . He absolutely adores our nieces and nephew (all under 5 yrs). Jasper also enjoys swimming and just being his goofy self. He is AKC registered, DNA tested and OFA tested.

Klaus is a working line gsd . He has a high drive but a nice off switch . He is such a sweet boy but is very protective over his family. Klaus absolutely loves any sport that he can get in the water. He also enjoys agility and he enjoys hiking with his family . Klaus is AKC registered, DNA tested and OFA tested. Klaus lives with our cousins, they are his active guardian home .

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Samantha was great to work with. We drove almost 400 mi. to pick up our puppy. We had arrangements made and had to cancel twice, once because of weather and once because of illness. She was very understanding and flexible about everything and she responded to messages quickly. When we finally got to pick up the puppy, she had all the records in order and gave us a huge pile of treats and toys. And Schatzi already knew how to sit!

Samantha is very responsible breed owner and very professional and always available to answer questions even after we got our puppy. We wanted specifically Germany shepherd and Samantha walk through everything with me what to expect and how to prepare for the puppy.
