Meet the breeder

I'm Diane J., the breeder behind Legacy Mountain Ranch located in Cle Elum, WA. Our dogs have unique British bloodlines featuring AKC Grand Champions & Master Hunters with OFA Excellent lineage. Our puppies are nurtured with Puppy Culture, early socialization & have excelled as hunting partners, service & emotional support dogs, agility competitors & beloved family companions.

Q. & A. with Diane

  • Why did you start breeding?

After a long search I saw a photo of and bred to CH Big Ben of Fawnhaven, SH, son of French CH Charlie Chalk who dominated continental Europe and was a son of famous British CH Rocheby Royal Oak. This foundation made us who we are. Our dogs have the classic build you don’t see anymore with strong bodies, blocky heads who will do anything for you. They are noble, talented, long lived, healthy.
  • What makes your program special?

I breed dogs that are beautifully striking, healthy enough to impress your vet, intelligent enough to lead the obedience class, athletic enough to excel in sporting events and devoted to being your best friend—all while remaining hard-working hunters. Many families have returned for a second puppy! I raise only one litter a year so each puppy receives the individual love and attention it deserves.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
