I'm John S., the breeder behind Legendary Kennels located in Anderson, IN. We work to produce healthy, well-rounded Champion Bloodline European Dobermans puppies that will make others as happy as our dogs have made us! We are dedicated to always providing our buyers and our puppies with a positive experience with responsible practices in breeding, training and socializing. Our Doberman puppies are all hand raised in our home and exposed to everything that goes on in a household. Our puppies are socialized with other dogs, cats,parrots and chickens. Puppies are also socialized with kids. We strive to raise well rounded puppies that will make great family pets and protectors.

    The love for the breed. I wanted to start breeding to help people be able obtain a show quality family pet at a affordable price

    We specialize in breeding only the top bloodlines to produce show quality dogs

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black and rust and red and rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from John

Puppy prices include a $600 deposit and between $2,200 - $2,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Price includes Ears cropped, Tails docked and dew claws removed all vaccinations up to 8weeks old, dewormed, AKC paperwork and a puppy starter kit. Kit includes ear posting materials to get you started, treats, food toys and chewys. If something happens to the puppy in my care deposit will be refunded. If you change your mind deposit will not be refunded. I may transfer deposit to next litter."

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA), Cardiac Evaluation

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Everything went smoothly. John was great to work with, we met up as planned and received our new puppy. She was healthy and acclimated to our home very well. She had no fear of common household things, which I immediately took note of as our previous puppy was afraid of the tv being on. She's now 6 months old, and she's wonderful! She's everything Doberman. She's protective, yet extremely lovable, sweet and a little sassy at times. My husband calls her his "movie buddy". She'll cuddle up on the bed for a movie any time! We love her so much!!

    John was very communicative throughout the process, provided regular updates even though he was probably very busy with so many puppies. His wife also provided detail care instructions when I picked up my puppy and John was still very responsive when I have questions after I took the puppy home.     I really appreciate the prompt responses, knowledge and resources John shared throughout the process. Working with this kennel to get a puppy was an easy and quick journey and we are very satisfied. It is apparent that John makes sure that his puppies are socialized and are constantly in company because our little one is somewhat anxious to be even in a different room from humans. The puppy is a strong, well-grown and smart pup. He shows all the true traits of a pure European Doberman bloodline and is a credit to John’s care and expertise in his breeding. We were able to seamlessly get our dog into the vet with the meticulous information on his previous medical care that we were provided by John. Registering our pup on the AKC website as a limited registration was also easy because of the time John took to make sure the paperwork was in place and explain it to us.     John took really good care of my puppy before I got him. The puppy even came with plenty of toys, chewables, and even all his paperwork with everything in it. He had helped me so much even when I brought the puppy home and had a couple of concerns. He has been great since day one to me and the puppy.
