I'm Christina C., the breeder behind Levendi located in Daly City, CA. My program is GoodDog rated as "Excellent" because I have extensive health testing for all of my breeding animals. Currently, I am the only advanced level AKC Breeder of Merit for the Standard Manchester. I'm a preservation breeder of the Manchester Terrier in Northern California. Our home-based breeding program encompasses health, temperament and breed quality. All of our litters are thoughtfully bred. I have studied pedigrees, completed extensive health testing on all my breeding animals, and actively show in conformation to ensure my stock improves the breed.

Why did you start breeding?
When I fell in love with the Manchester Terrier and realizing they needed breeders to ensure their future. I originally just wanted to do agility.What makes your program special?
My puppies are a thoughtful process from late night study into pedigrees, to showing in conformation and companion events, to health testing all parents.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Brucellosis, Legg-Calve-Perthes (OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
