Meet the breeder

I'm Lexy H., the breeder behind Lexy's Shetland Sheepdogs located in Gaylord, MI. We breed for temperament, Agility, and intelligence while preserving the Shetland sheepdog breed standard. Our puppies are raised for sports, therapy work, or simply couch potato companions. AKC registered, health guarantee, vaccinations, vet check, lifetime support and very regular updates!

Q. & A. with Lexy

  • Why did you start breeding?

While my husband grew up breeding hunting dogs, I grew up only with a family Golden. As I got older, I got my first Shetland sheepdog and we began competing in agility and learning about the confirmation world. This perfect little breed caught my attention and they became my heart dogs. Their personality is like nothing I have ever seen in another breed and I am blessed to be able to preserve the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

Personalized care for each and every puppy. We raise each puppy as if we were keeping them so they have the best start with their furever family.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blue merle and white, sable and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
