Meet the breeder

I'm Cara J., the breeder behind Leyline Australian Shepherds located in Lancaster, CA. We produce top-quality Australian Shepherds that are sound both mentally and physically. Our dogs live in our home and are treated as members of our family.

Q. & A. with Cara

  • Why did you start breeding?

It all began with one young charismatic, young dog that took the show world by storm. Sweeper taught me how to train and show as a team earning many notable wins. Several years later that grew into owning and breeding several champions competing in various levels of ASCA, AKC, and International events.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
