I'm Jeanie G., the breeder behind Liberty Valley Farm located in Petersburg, TN. We live on a farm in Tennessee where we raise Hereford and Simmental cattle. Our dogs are loved and enjoyed, and the puppies receive a lot of attention! We have sold puppies all over the country and to Canada. Parents and grandparents are on the farm representing generations of quality breeding.
Q. & A. with Jeanie
Why did you start breeding?
We had raised Australian Shepards for a few years, but discovered we loved the Cardigan Corgis as well! Being on a farm, having babies is part of the process! The girls LOVED the puppies and I do as well. We enjoy the challenge and love raising wonderful dogs that bless people's lives.
What makes your program special?
Our puppies are raised inside and outside. They will be started on potty training and will be crate trained. Our puppies are handled multiple times daily. Our dogs have been shown in 4-H, competed in agility events, and become therapy dogs! We are very proud of them and their owners! We recognize it is 10+ year commitment, and we want our new owners and puppies to be happy together.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brindle and white, blue merle and white, sable and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

I took two photos of Jonas as I was feeding at the barn today. He is such a cute, sweet puppy. I just love him!! The other photo I received today from one of my owners--I thought it was just adorable. "Joey" is a full brother to Jonas. He lives in Memphis with “his” two girls! He LOVES those girls and the feeling is mutual. The mom said, "I have never met a dog meant to have kids like this one. I am so grateful he ended up with my girls." So sweet!

Rhett, dad
Cardigan Welsh Corgi
About Rhett
Rhett is a true handsome, southern gentleman. He's very chill and relaxed. He would love to be a professional couch potato, but he will settle for naps under the maple tree and occasionally chasing a deer or turkey. He is content to hang out at the house while the female dogs go on adventures. He is happy-go-lucky and nothing seems to bother him; his father was the same way. His father is Legacy's Strike it Rich (nicknamed "Cash") and was an AKC Champion. He and Rhett have the personality. Rhett loves to be petted, but he is not demanding about it. I love his happy face! He is DM and PRA clear.
Sadie, mom
Cardigan Welsh Corgi
About Sadie
Sadie is such a sweetheart. She was pick of a litter several years ago. Sadie is fun-loving and happy. She is extremely tolerant of cats and other dogs--and lets everyone eat out of her food bowl. She likes help round up cows if they escape from the field! She is content to be petted with one single finger! Sadie is loyal and calm. She is super careful when taking any snack from my hand. She seems to have passed on her sweet personality to her puppies. This is her third little with Rhett. She is DM and PRA clear.

Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
