Sharon A.

Breeder of Dachshunds

Meet the breeder

I'm Sharon A., the breeder behind Lilly's Long Dogs located in Russellville, AR. Our dogs are family and are treated as such. We raise our puppies in our home and they are socialized and worked with to get them ready for your home. We are a mall home breeder not a kennel so we only have a few litters a year so our puppies are bred for families to love and cherish as pets.

Q. & A. with Sharon

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our first dachshund Lilly was just so amazing and she came at a time when my husband was very ill with an autoimmune disease that caused him to retire early. He had to give up a job that he loved and had been doing for over 40 years. So he decided that he would start with Lilly and give breeding a try and he grew to love the breed and researched and learned all he could to make sure our puppies were well suited for families and stayed true to the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

We started our small program for love of the breed and in our honor of my mother in law and her dachshund.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include piebald, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
