Q. & A. with Sarah
Why did you start breeding?
I have a passion for australian shepherds and wanted to aid in preserving the breed as the amazing, versatile companions they are.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are bred with versatility in mind. They should be able to go out and do well in whatever their handler desires, be it agility, conformation, dock diving, obedience, etc. We strive to follow the breed standard. Our dogs are moderate, just as an aussie should be. We also prioritize solid/stable temperaments.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
