I'm Claudia R., the breeder behind Lincolnwood Yorkies located in East Moline, IL. We love the breed and choose our breeding parents based upon temperament, health, conformation, coat quality, and beauty. We work hand in hand with our vet to assure top-quality care and nurturing of our parent dogs as well as their babies.
Q. & A. with Claudia
Why did you start breeding?
I fell in love with my first Yorkie (not breeding quality), and I had a couple of small breed rescues. Two of them had life-threatening illnesses and I found I was intrigued by the science behind healthy dogs and how to care for them. This began my research into choosing the right parent dogs and how to be the best breeder I could be, I read everything and chose carefully in buying my first pairings.
What makes your program special?
I firmly believe in the early neurological exercises I use. The feedback I get from buyers is the pups are "so smart" and well adjusted. Local sales often stick with my vet as I do invite them to come to the check-ups so they hear what I hear about the condition of the puppy, My vet and techs always say my puppies are happy and loving.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
