I'm Lisa H., the breeder behind Lisa’s Lassies located in Waterville, IA. We raise and breed AKC registered rough collies in 4 different colors: sable Merle, blue Merle, white, and tricolor. Our dogs are healthy, have quality confirmation, and have great temperaments. Our AKC puppies and dogs are genetic tested and ophthalmologist tested- normal. The full litters on our pups are ophthalmologist tested- normal eyed. Our puppies go home potty trained and started on puppy culture training and crate training.

Why did you start breeding?
In 2018-2019 I lost my parents that were lovers of the breed. Lisa’s Lassies was started as a tribute to them in 2020.What makes your program special?
We take great pride in our breeding program and selection. We breed for quality, temperament, and betterment of the collie breed. All of our sires and dams are ophthalmologist tested normal eyed. Pups are potty trained and started on puppy culture training and crate training.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable merle, sable, blue merle white and tan, blue merle and white, black white and tan, blue merle, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Lisa
Lisa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $850 non-refundable deposit and between $1,150 - $1,650 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price includes the 2 year health guarantee, AKC registrable papers (limited registration), collar, up to date vaccinations, up to date dewormings, collar, started on crate training, potty trained, flea/tick prevention (Nexgard), microchip, vet checked by licensed veterinarian, and puppy socialization. A non-refundable deposit of $850 is required to reserve a puppy. If the puppy does not meet your criteria in the current litter then deposit can be transferred to a puppy in an upcoming litter.”

Lisa may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Cyclic Neutropenia, Grey Collie Syndrome (CN), Dermatomyositis, PRA, Rod-Cone Dysplasia 2 (rcd2), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
