I'm Kristina H., the breeder behind Little Blessings Yorkshire Terriers located in Rochester Hills, MI. I show and breed high quality, health-tested Yorkies. My dogs and puppies live in my home and are a beloved part of the family. Each puppy that I raise comes with lots of love and care. I take a holistic approach to breeding in order to make sure my puppies are as healthy as possible.
Q. & A. with Kristina
Why did you start breeding?
I have always been enamored with the miracle of birth since I was a child. I have helped birthed puppies, kittens, lambs, goats, rabbits, and a foal. Every single one just amazes me and fills my heart with joy. My mom has bred and shown Pekingese for years so the show world is in my blood. I love Yorkies and enjoy being able to share them with others through my breeding program.
What makes your program special?
I am a caring breeder who always puts the health and welfare of my fur-kids first and foremost. I do not breed just to breed or for profit. I strive to make the breed better. I want to not only produce a dog with a beautiful face and lovely silk coat, but one that is also structurally sound and free of any inheritable defects. I also love to stay in touch with families after they take the puppies home - I post lots of resources for you on my Facebook, and I love getting photos of your pups in their new homes!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and tan, black and gold, and blue and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
