Meet the breeder

I'm Amy G., the breeder behind Little Foot Kennels located in Callahan, FL. We love to responsibly raise and train our puppies so they have the tools to be well-rounded, beloved family members. We put a great deal of effort into raising our litters to ensure our puppy families will have the best experience raising their new family members.

Q. & A. with Amy

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have a BS in Animal Science Business from Auburn University. I own a farm in northeast Florida and have bred Persians and Himalayans since 2002. I expanded into the Dachshund world in 2022 and started breeding in 2023. We focus on producing not only a great pet for families but improving the confirmation, disposition, and overall quality of the Dachshund breed.
  • What makes your program special?

We give a one year genetic health guarantee on all of our puppies. All of our dogs have been tested and are negative for OI, DM, and PRA genetic diseases. All new puppy owners receive copies of the testing, health certificates, and a sales contract.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, black, chocolate, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, blue and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
