I'm Cheyenne I., the breeder behind Little House Pups located in Dothan, AL. Our Dachshund pups are home-raised. We put a lot of care into socializing them so they can transition easily into their new lives. We commit ourselves towards preparing each one of our puppies to thrive in their new homes, and we enjoy working with their new families so that they can raise their beloved companions with confidence!

Q. & A. with Cheyenne

  • Why did you start breeding?

I was raised with dachshunds my entire life and at 16 began mentoring a wonderful breeder I still am friends with to this day. I have learned so much in my 8 years of breeding and love what we do here to better the dachshund breed.
  • What makes your program special?

I take pride in only breeding the best candidates for our breeds standards. We do routine checks with our vet to ensure our pups are of the highest quality and as healthy as possible. In addition we also do genetic testing on all of our breeders to ensure their offspring will have the best chances at having long and healthy lives.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream, red, black and tan, black and cream, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

We had such a wonderful experience bringing our little puppy home! As first-time puppy parents, we had so many questions about her food, routine, vaccines, potty training, documents, and how to make the transition as comfortable as possible. Throughout the entire process, we felt supported and informed. Our puppy arrived happy, healthy, well cared for, and already familiar with her feeding schedule and puppy pads, which made her first days with us much easier. You can truly tell that she was raised with love and received plenty of care and attention before coming home. Since the moment she arrived, she has completely stolen our hearts. She is sweet, playful, affectionate, and already loves sleeping next to us. We couldn’t be happier with our new little family member and are very grateful for the experience and for trusting us with her. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a puppy who has been raised with genuine love and care. Thank you for helping us find our perfect little girl! 🐶🤍

Cheyenne was so good with helping connect us to our new addition. She's very knowledgeable and answers questions in a timely manner. It is very evident that Cheyenne cares about the well-being of all her dogs and puppies. When we received our little Piper, she was clean, healthy, and a very happy girl. Thank you, Gooddog, and thank you so much, Cheyenne!

Everything went amazing throughout the whole process! Cheyenne was so great at communicating and made everything feel so easy and comfortable from the start. The moment we got on a call and I saw this sweet puppy, I instantly fell in love. You can truly tell how much she cares about her dogs and making sure they go to loving homes. I’m so thankful I found her and Little House Pups. Our new baby has already brought so much joy, and my two other babies absolutely love her so much already. I couldn’t be happier with the experience!

Cheyenne kept us updated with sweet photos of our Lucky every week, and did such a great job socializing her before we brought her home. From day one our puppy has been very calm and non reactive because of how Cheyenne socialized her from birth. Our Lucky girl has an amazing personality and is it so reassuring knowing her health and lineage is great as well.
