Meet the breeder

I'm Cheyenne W., the breeder behind Little House Pups located in Dothan, AL. Our Dachshund pups are home-raised. We put a lot of care into socializing them so they can transition easily into their new lives. We commit ourselves towards preparing each one of our puppies to thrive in their new homes, and we enjoy working with their new families so that they can raise their beloved companions with confidence!

Q. & A. with Cheyenne

  • Why did you start breeding?

I was raised with dachshunds my entire life and at 16 began mentoring a wonderful breeder I still am friends with to this day. I have learned so much in my 7 years breeding and love what we do here to better the dachshund breed.
  • What makes your program special?

I take pride in only breeding the best candidates for our breeds standards. We do routine checks with our vet to ensure our pups are of the highest quality and as healthy as possible. In addition we also do genetic testing on all of our breeders to ensure their offspring will have the best chances at having long and healthy lives.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream, red, black and tan, black and cream, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

I was on the hunt for our families first pup, while there were many Cheyenne’s About Me stood out! Cheyenne made the process so easy especially as it was our first pup, Cheyenne even FaceTimed us to make sure Draco would be the right fit. Cheyenne was so knowledgeable about the breed, she made sure to answer any and all of my questions but also helped prep with guidance. You can tell she really cares and loves her dogs. Throughout the process. She sent me regular updates on Draco and pictures. Cheyenne is truly amazing and made the puppy buying process so much fun and easy! I recommend her to any and everyone that is looking for a mini dachshund. Cheyenne is THE best!!
