Meet the breeder

I'm Maria C., the breeder behind Little Paws Doxies located in San Antonio, TX. Our puppies are raised the way family should be raised: in a loving home, surrounded by warmth, attention, and constant human connection. From the very beginning, they are not just dogs to us—they are part of our household, our daily rhythm, and our hearts. Mama is lovingly spoiled and cared for with intention during pregnancy. Her well-being is always the priority, because a calm, happy mother sets the foundation for confident, well-adjusted puppies. When it’s time for the puppies to be born, I am by mama’s side every step of the way. From day one, the puppies are raised inside our family home, not in kennels or isolated spaces. They grow up hearing everyday household sounds, being gently handled, and experiencing early socialization that helps shape their temperaments. They are exposed to love, patience, and positive interactions, which builds confidence and trust as they grow. Mama continues to receive special care after delivery, allowing her to nurture her puppies comfortably while staying healthy and relaxed. We believe that when a mother feels secure and loved, her puppies thrive—and we see that reflected in their behavior, curiosity, and affectionate nature. Our goal is to raise puppies who are not only healthy, but emotionally balanced, social, and ready to transition smoothly into their forever homes. Each puppy leaves us having known warmth, human connection, and a strong foundation built on love, respect, and thoughtful care. This isn’t just breeding—it’s family, devotion, and a deep commitment to giving every puppy the best possible start in life.

Q. & A. with Maria

  • Why did you start breeding?

I bought a little beautiful male but he got stolen out of my yard at 6 mos old and my little girls were devastated so I got another little female. A few months later, she needed a companion so we got her a little male mate. A year later they had their first litter... I was amazed, excited, and completely enthused in the birthing process and then watching the puppies grow up! I didn't know what to do with the puppies but I knew I couldnt keep them all so I posted them and made sure they all went to great homes! It was a blessing to see the new families so happy with my puppies and I still receive updates and I LOVE it! I've only had 3 litters but I really enjoy it and I plan on making more beautiful puppies to make more families happy!
  • What makes your program special?

My doxies are raised with family! They ARE family. They all have names, they are all fed well, and treated with lots of care and love! I truly love my babies and, although the extra money is good, I am NOT greedy and that is NOT my priority! I believe everyone should have a doxie!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
