Litton's Aussies

Meet the breeder

I'm Erin L., the breeder behind Litton's Aussies located in South Boston, VA. Temperament is by far my main concern, it doesn't matter if they can win in a ring or how stunning they look if they have a horrible temperament! So that is the first thing my potential breeders have to pass before anything else is considered! I expect great health and conformation also!

Q. & A. with Erin

  • Why did you start breeding?

Breeding started at a young age, but Aussies? My love for dogs (dog groomer for over 20 years now) got me spinning on what breed I wanted most till I came across a standard Aussie at a rescue. He the result of a Merle to Merle breeding and had all the typical issues. I learned so much from him. He is ultimately what started me on Aussies. To produce a better dog that could be found locally.
  • What makes your program special?

I put much more into my puppies than the average breeder. I typically keep pups past the 8-week mark till they are 9-10 weeks old. I don't sell first come first serve. I get to know buyers and pick the best match for them. I crate train, litter train/start housebreaking, basic manors, build confidence, work on desensitization and bite/herding control.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
