I'm Erin L., the breeder behind Lizzie’s Doxies located in Jacksonville, NC. We do our best to socialize and acclimate each litter so we’re able to offer all-around healthy and well-mannered puppies! The sweet, loyal, and playful disposition of our dogs inspired us to begin responsibly breeding to expand the breed and share them with others. Our pets are our cherished family.
Q. & A. with Erin
Why did you start breeding?
My first dachshund we adopted was a male black and tan smooth hair, my heart felt like it was going to burst with the overwhelming feeling of love I immediately felt for him, months later we adopted a male chiweenie longhair to give our first a friend, a year later lead to adopting a female shaded red piebald, I love the breed and want to share that love to spread and grow into other homes
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

She has been a great addition to our family. She has been great joy to our family. It was great working with Erin. Great with communicating with us throughout the process.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
