About Harley
Lockhart Farm's Harlequin Rouge, aka Harley, is one of the most friendly Aussies you will ever meet. She doesn't know a stranger and assumes you love her when you come to the house. She is a very energetic dog with medium herding drive but extreme intelligence. She thrives in water sports and would spend every second of her day in the pool or pond. She live with us in our home on on our 100 acre horse farm in Northern Kentucky. Harley is exactly what an Australian shepherd should be. Great with people, animals and other dogs.

Good level
Lockhart Farm reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Australian Shepherds.
DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
