Meet the breeder

I'm Shanna B., the breeder behind Lonesome Boone Corgis located in Elberton, GA. As a family we raise AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgis and American Corgis. We strive to produce healthy pups with a loving temperament and correct confirmation! Our dogs have gone on to become service animals, farmhands, & family pets!

Q. & A. with Shanna

  • Why did you start breeding?

I always had a corgi growing up and the love never stopped! In 2014 we were planning on adding another member to our family. We drove to Arkansas planning to add 1 to our dog crew of 2 at the time but came home with 2. We just couldn't stop, they are literally like potato chips. Since then we have done our research, traveled many miles in order to offer quality, health tested pets.
  • What makes your program special?

We don't treat our dogs as a breeding program! Yes we do all the proper testing, vaccination, health exams, etc. but our dogs are apart of our family! If we are out on the farm doing chores our dogs are out with us. Getting up cows, sheep, riding horses, four wheeler, you name it they are beside us helping. We strive for healthy, good temperament, socialized pets! We love each puppy as family.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Shanna was amazing to work with! She was very responsive and sent weekly picture or video updates. I loved that the puppies are raised in home and got to experience a “regular” family dynamic. My Daisy girl has the best personality. She is very laid-back while also being very goofy and outgoing. So far she has been an absolute breeze! I look forward to working with Shanna again in the future!
