LORI B.

Breeder of Dachshunds

Meet the breeder

I'm LORI B., the breeder behind Lori's Dachshunds of Louisiana located in Trout, LA. My mom Janet Stewart taught me all I needed to know. I have been helping her since I was 7 years old. My mom passed away in 2023 and I have been breeding Dachshunds since 2022, she helped me gets started. I have AKC and CKC on my property and they are very spoiled and most of them sleep in my bed.

Q. & A. with LORI

  • Why did you start breeding?

My mom breed pomeranian and yorkies since I was 7 years old, she wanted me to take over but I just couldn't. So she helped me start into my own breed of what animal I loved the most and that is Dachshunds. They are my emotional support animals and have to be with me threw thick and thin. Even in the bathroom!
  • What makes your program special?

Started out with Champion Blood line AKC and ended up with getting CKC also cause I believe in helping everyone get what they want even if they can't afford AKC.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, piebald, red, chocolate, brindle, chocolate and tan, blue and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
