Meet the breeder

I'm Lori R., the breeder behind Lorlyn Labradors located in East Haddam, CT. I breed for health, conformation & temperament. All sires/dams are carefully selected for breeding are appropriately health tested. I compete in conformation, dock diving & field events with my girls.

Q. & A. with Lori

  • Why did you start breeding?

I always loved this breed! I used to research dogs, pedigrees and health genetics before I started breeding in 1993. I have always strived to improve my lines over the years. I am proud of my current girls in regards to their conformation, health & temperament. They compete in a variety of venues.
  • What makes your program special?

I have 30+ years of experience as a breeder. I painstakingly research generations behind the sire of the litter for health before I decide on any breeding. Both of the parents are always health certified before breeding. My pups are always raised in the house. Many of my customers are repeat customers or from their references.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

I was impressed with what I saw on Lori's website, so I inquired about a puppy and she got right back to me. We were able to spend a good amount of time with the puppies so we could pick the right one for us. The process couldn’t have been more straightforward. Duncan is a beautiful puppy. Intelligent, playful, and incredibly cute! Thank you to Lori and Good Dog for making the process so easy!
