An important note: Revolution or Interceptor are the only sage HeartWorm medications for collies MDR1 is a dominate gene and only needs one copy to be affected, but all collies should be treated as affected because even genetically clear dogs can have reactions. The only way to be safe is to be proactive and treat them as affected, a negative test is just a false safety net.

Puppies wake me at 6:00 for breakfast of 1/3C moistened Diamond Puppy, play for about 30 min, run in circles frantically to find a place to eliminate breakfast. Go back to sleep till about noon and play begins again till about 1pm when they get lunch of 1/3C moistened Diamond Puppy, play for about 30 min, run in circles frantically to find a place to eliminate, take a nap till about 4pm, play a couple hours with speed naps in-between. Dinner is about 8pm, 1/3C moistened Diamond Puppy, play for about 30 min, run in circles frantically to find a place to eliminate then got to bed when they feel like it. Play time is outside when it is not to hot outside, the nice fresh air helps them sleep longer through the night

New puppies going home need time to adjust. Their mama rag and a stuffed animal of their same size may help. Please watch for chewing parts of toy though.

This must be done the day before or the day if possession of puppy. It is free for one month and can be cancelled after that if you choose to

Igraine says, “Enough with the pictures, Grandma! We need our sleep so we can grow!” 😂🐾💤 Apparently, Grandma has been a little too enthusiastic with the camera today! 🤣

Getting individual photos is becoming quite the challenge. The moment I let them have free run, any chance of a nice group shot vanishes—they all scatter in every direction. They all love a good snuggle, but I still haven’t mastered cuddling and taking photos at the same time.

Interceptor plus and Revolution have worked well for our Collies in HeartWorm prevention. Its the only ones we have found remotely safe MDR1 or not MDR1 is a dominate gene and only needs one copy to be affected, but all collies should be treated as affected because even genetically clear dogs can have reactions. The only way to be safe is to be proactive and treat them as affected, a negative test is just a false safety net.

I liked working with Christy, she was very willing to answer any question I had and helped a lot throughout the process. She sent regular updates about my pup and I enjoyed that a lot. She was great at communicating and even after I picked him up, she was willing to answer questions. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

I cannot speak highly enough of Lost Acres Collies. We got our puppy in hopes of her being a medical alert dog - she exceeded our expectations with natural instincts for scent work and alerts! Our collie is such a good girl with the friendliest, most affectionate, social, gentle, and smart personality - I swear she speaks English. She is such a fast learner and so sensitive in the best way. We will definitely be going with Lost Acres Collies for all our future collies. Most recently, Indigo received a Shining Star certificate from the Collie Club of America recognizing her work as a collie service dog!

Christy has been such a kind a knowledgeable person to work with. You can tell she really loves her dogs. She was very willing to answer any questions. I loved seeing the litter updates. You got a real feel for how loved and well cared for her puppies are. My husband and I drove down to AR to pick up our puppy. Christy met us at our hotel with Adele and the litter mother, DD. She provided us food, water, a leash, harness, bowls, and a toy, along with vet records. Far more than I expected and I am very grateful. Adele is a very happy, healthy puppy and I'm looking forward to sharing many great adventures with her.

Working with Christy was smooth and easy, from pre-birth to delivery. Updates were nice and informative. My Puppy is healthy, sweet, and fearless. I could not be happier. It is obviously that Christy loves this breed and what she is doing. I would buy from her again- and hope to!
