Q. & A. with Heather

  • Why did you start breeding?

Growing up I was the little girl who carried around the dog encyclopedia showing everyone the cool breeds. So I sort of always knew my life would revolve around dogs, so it made sense when I found myself working as a veteranarian technician for a licensed reproduction specialist. It was here, that Dr. Linda taught me the in-outs of breeding and where I met some wonderful people that took me to my first dog show... as they say the rest was history.
  • What makes your program special?

Honestly? Everything my program is very special to me, as are our future and past puppies and their owners. My goal isn't to just sell someone a puppy and never see them again. Our puppies owners become our extended family and I do everything I can to always be there for them, I want to relish in their success and grieve with them when the time comes. Each and everyone is special to me. I focus on brining together everything that makes the Australian shepherd special to me ; their wonderful conformation build to withstand hours of labor, their loyal and loving temperaments, and their ability to be as versatile as they are beautiful and I want to share that with the world.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Heather

Heather has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Heather partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

Price

Puppy prices include a $350 non-refundable deposit and between $2,150 - $2,650 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Our puppy price includes a $350 non-refundable reservation fee that is apart of the total puppy fee. Reservation fees go towards a spot to be in line for one of our puppies and are required to hold a puppy until their go home date. Our puppies are microchiped, AKC registered and ASCA elligible, examined by both our veteranarian and our ophthalmologist. All age appropriate vet care will be completed prior to going home. We do not promise any specific puppy to any particular person prior to our puppy evaluations. These evaluations occur around 8 weeks old. Color and gender preferences accepted, but not guaranteed. Our goal is to make sure that a match is compatible so that the relationship between our puppy homes and their families can thrive without being strained due to a pet having to much energy or too much prey drive etc. Our deposits are non-refundable and for this reason referred to as reservation fees. Breeder agrees to hold one puppy (to be decided by the breeder after evaluations are complete. If the buyer decided that they would rather wait for a future litter their reservation fee may be transferred to a future litter when one becomes available. Transfers are good for 2 litters if the buyer declines a puppy from both litters the reservation fee is deferred.”

Heather may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy.
