I'm Nancy F., the breeder behind Lovable Shih Tzus located in Claremont, CA. We breed high-quality Shih Tzus to the AKC standard.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Because I love the breed and I started 11 years ago, and at the time there were so many breeders out there that were not of the best character. I wanted to be a breeder that people could trust and come to.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our attentiveness to the AKC standard ensures that all buyers will have a loving, healthy companion and addition to their family. It's really important to us to get to know the new family before sending a puppy to its new home. We put a lot of time and love into our puppies and want to ensure the best match for them.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include liver and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Nancy

Nancy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Nancy partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Contract & health guarantee

Nancy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Nancy was very responsive and would give me lots of updates on how Teddy was doing. This made me feel so much more comfortable. She also potty trains them on a fake grass tray and this helped me so much with potty training.

    Nancy made the process so easy & comforting. She was very responsive & I could tell she was very passionate & knowledgeable about her Shih Tzus. She sent us regular updates & photos & andwered all our questions. She did a great job at starting potty training & socialization. We love our beautiful girl, Leilani. She's perfect, loves to play, is great with kids, not timid or scared of things, very friendly & curious. I can tell she was raised with care & love with Nancy. Overall a wonderful experience & I highly recommend Nancy!

    Nana Nancy is an incredible caretaker. Her genuine love for Shih Tzu’s made us feel like she was the right breeder for our new little ones. My husband and I had lost our 9 year old baby to cancer last year and decided we needed some more love back in our home. We decided to get brother and sister littermates, Calvin and Tillie (previously Winston and Macy). Nancy allowed us to visit the pups at 7 weeks so we could interact with them before choosing, which was the biggest help for us. We took them home the very next weekend after their all-clear from the vet. So grateful for this opportunity to invite so much love back into our home, they will truly be spoiled and taken on many adventures!
