I'm Cindy J., the breeder behind Lucky J Corgis located in Minooka, IL. We give our puppies the best start possible so they’re set up to succeed as well-socialized, trainable, and wonderful additions to any family. We highly recommend putting the time in to train your fur babies to become a perfect companion. We are available to support your journey.
Q. & A. with Cindy
Why did you start breeding?
We got into breeding after we encountered several breeders not doing due diligence and genetically testing their pup. Once you have a fur baby come down with DM you want to insure no one else goes through that.
What makes your program special?
I pair my parents up for temperament not color combination . I am more concerned with families getting the best pup we can deliver since they are a devoted family member. We have had several satisfied new families come back and repeat buy because of the temperament.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red, sable, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Cindy and her husband were my ideal. I have only adopted dogs, choosing adult or special health needs pets. When we lost our adopted corgi in a medical emergency, however, we decided to choose a responsible and ethical breeder. It was our amazing good fortune to find Lucky J Corgis. Cindy supplied health records before we decided to adopt, consultations with her vet, and a meet and greet with our other adopted boxer mix, Molly. To our delight, little Scout (who we named Barley Guinness Stout: big name for a little guy) was and is PERFECT for us! Molly gently plays and has been recovering from missing her "brother"; and little Stout has learned basic commands in a week: sit, stay, come, and working on "drop it". His overnight pottying is perfect. He learned "out" and which door that meant. He loves drives in his "Go Crate". And he learned fetch this week! I am convinced the Cindy and her husband love their corgis, and their compassionate, ethical care shines in our little Stout. I cant recommend them enough! What a joy to have met them, and be allowed to welcome one of their corgis into our home.

We have had Gizmo for a month now and have to say we couldn't be happier. He is so good and listens so well. Potty training was so simple with him. Now as time has passed and he is comfortable his name really fits him he turns to a gremlin at night not in a bad way just very hyper and crazy at night and calm and chill in the day. He is so adorable.

We were sure to visit other breeders before we decided on Cindy. You can tell she and her husband cares about the health and well-being of the pups. The parents are on site. It’s clear they are well cared, loved, and they are very well mannered. The dogs outside area is nicely maintained. Regrettablly, the same could not be said for the other breeders we visited in the area. Cindy’s pups were the clear choice, and we are so happy with our decision. Our little one was up to date on her puppy shots and came with her AKC ancestry, as well as, her parents genetic testing results. This gives us the peace of mind that the ailments common to PWCs, while always a possibility, is less likely to occur in our little one, thanks to Cindy’s careful breeding decisions. I will also add that we have not had any crate training accidents. The puppy goes to bed with my husband around 12:30 AM, and I let the puppy out around 5:30 AM. Put puppy back as I head out the door, and my husband lets puppy out again at 8 AM. Sleeps through the night. Very smart! Loves to play and very social.
