I'm Melissa M., the breeder behind Lucky Stone Newfoundlands located in Greenville, Pa 16125 9633, PA. Our Newfies are well-bred for health and gentle giant temperament! We focus on conformation and characteristics that make them fantastic companions. On appearance, Newfoundlands area a beautiful and noble dog, but it's their gentle, kind, and watchful nature that our family cherishes the most.

Why did you start breeding?
Newfoundland are an amazing breed and make wonderful companions. When our middle daughter was taken ill, we decided on adopting our first Newfoundland after researching which dog breed made the best companion for children. Enter Baxter, a cute, furry, and very friendly all-black male Newfoundland pup into our family. He and our daughter became the best of friends. Some years later when we moved to the farm, we thought it a place where Newfoundlands would thrive. I went on a pursuit to find excellent representations of the breed, both in conformation and temperament, raise them up with love, and breed healthy and happy Newfoundlands. All in the hope to bring the joy of sharing life with a Newfoundland to other families.What makes your program special?
Ours is a very small, but quality breeding program focused on raising healthy Newfoundland pups for loving families. Our program is unique because we raise well-bred pups whose parents are tested for AKC standard health tests appropriate for the breed. The parents are our very own trusted Newfoundland companions that we are so proud of! The pups are whelped in our home where they are well-cared for and given the best opportunity possible to grow into the wonderful companion dogs that they are intended to be!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and black, black, brown, and gray. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Melissa

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Melissa partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“The price includes Limited AKC registration papers, initial vaccinations, vet well check visit, deworming, and a small bag of kibble. The deposit is non-refundable.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
