I'm Louann W., the breeder behind LuLu’s Shih Tzu’s of Michigan located in Ann Arbor, MI. Each of our dogs has brought so much happiness to us throughout their lives. We want to do our part to produce wonderful DNA/Genetic tested 100% Shih Tzu’s that are healthy and happy dogs who will bring other people joy as well, and we strive to provide each of our puppies with a loving forever home!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I’ve always wanted to try to breed Shih Tzu’s because of my love for the breed. After I retired and during Covid, I decided to take the leap. Two years later I am proud to announce my litter of three puppies!

  • What makes your program special?

    I am a small home breeder that puts my all in to my dogs. Everything from nutrition to love. I love this breed and I would like everyone to understand the love and the loyalty that these dogs have to offer us.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable, black, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Louann

Louann has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Louann partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We take great care in matching the right puppy to the correct puppy owner. Their personalities are assessed around 7-8 weeks. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,800 - $2,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes up to date vaccinations, deworming, a one year health guarantee contract, DNA results 100% Shih Tzu’s, a veterinarian checked healthy puppy, also a take home bag filled with familiar scents and goodies! FaceTime interview with you prior to taking a deposit. If you are approved you will pay a $200 deposit. Deposit is then deducted from the asking price of the puppy adoption.”

Louann may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
